Maple Syrup Pie
Yield: 6 servings
| 1 | 9" pie crust, uncooked | |
| 2 | Eggs | |
| 1 | c | Brown sugar |
| 2 | T | All-purpose flour |
| 1 | c | Maple syrup |
| 2 | T | Melted butter |
| 1/2 | c | Nuts or pecans, chopped |
| 1 | t | Vanilla extract |
| 1 | Pinch | Salt |
Preheat oven to 400F. Line a 9" pie plate with crust. Flute the edges. In a large bowl, beat eggs lightly. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar and flour and add to the eggs. Add other ingredients and stir, then pour into pie crust. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until filling becomes firm, and serve with caramel sauce and chopped nuts. Test for doneness by inserting a knife tip. If it comes out clean, the pie is ready
